I'm Laida Mi-unpronounceable-gi, a UX Designer with a big love for UX Research. I apply rigorous design-thinking practices in initial research, ideation, prototyping, and testing.
Originally from Spain, I've lived in Madrid and Berlin, and now I’m back in my hometown, San Sebastián.

Background
After graduating from my degree in Media Communication (majoring in Film Theory), I moved to Berlin where I landed several jobs in online marketing, specializing in SEO. Knowing that this was not my true vocation, I decided to make a career change and seek out a field where I could fully unleash my creativity.
My first experiences as a UX Designer were in several startups in Berlin. Once I decided to move back to Spain I landed in my first role as a Product Designer.
Human stories and the beauty of composition
As a lifelong film lover, I have been drawn to the stories of individuals and their lives since my childhood. In addition, I have always liked playing around with composition through photography, which is why I have a longstanding appreciation for aesthetics.
Through my discovery of UX, I realized I could bring these two approaches, human stories and composition, together for the benefit of the end user.

Refocusing with UX Research
UX research works as an anchor for me, helping to refocus on the central problem and guiding me through the process of developing a solution.
I also like participating in discovery through user research, as it helps me better understand the user's pain points. This leads to more thoughtful and relevant designs.
